The University is keen to mark the lives of those who were part of our university community at their passing including: Staff in service and students studying there; Retired staff with a record of long service whose families request a leaf; Recently graduated students; Members of the community with a long association with the University at the discretion of either the University and/or the College of Chaplains.
The space in front of the Roundhouse Religious Life and Belief Centre at the University has been a place of reflection, meditation and quiet gatherings. It was decided to landscape the area with new trees and to commission a memorial sculpture: the Tree of Life.
